미래국토연구소 설립 목적

본 연구소는 국토환경의 인문적 변화와 자연적 변화의 원인을 규명하고
지속가능한 국토발전 모형을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

국토환경에서 다양하게 나타나는 문제들을 학제적 접근을 통해 연구하고 있으며,
주로 국토교통부, 환경부, 해양수산부, 교육부 등의 정부부처 발주과제들을 수행하고 있으며,
지리학과를 중심으로 한 학부와 대학원 교육과의 연계성을 위해서
지속가능 교육의 주요 어젠다 발굴에도 노력하고 있다.

국제적으로는 당면하고 있는 지구온난화와 사막화 문제 연구를 위해
중국, 몽고, 중앙아시아, 네팔, 인도, 파키스탄 등과의 활발한 연구를 진행하고 있다.


The main objectives of Institute of Future Land of Korea (IFLS) are to elucidate
the natural and human impact on the Land and provide an model on the sustainable development of Land.

IFLS carries out the multidisciplinary research funded by major ministries of Korea government including
Ministry of Land and Transport, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and Ministry of Education.
In addition, IFLS based on department of Geography, is involved in boosting the education of undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Geography.

Internationally, IFLS performs practical and creative researches on the agendas of global warming and deseritification
closely with adjacent Asian countries including but not limited to China, Mongolia, Central Asia, Nepal, India, Pakistan
